As some of you may not know, this month is International Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Month. If you know me, you would know of my superhero Mother Tracey Murrin suffers from I.B.D (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) also known as Crohn's Disease which has no cure. I've seen my Mum go from rock bottom, to fighting her way back to heights even she couldn't believe (literally and figuratively). Achieving this by doing her best to create strength in numbers by participating in the Great Wall Challenge climbing the Great Wall of China, raising money for Crohn's & Colitis Australia, orchestrating fundraising days and even mentoring youth camps for kids with Crohn's and Colitis, making it her mission to show them how to embrace life and let them know they are not alone. She then went on to become 1 of 5 finalists in the Australia and New Zealand Great Comeback Awards. The fact that my Mum could have so easily of given up and let the world win, but getting back up on her feet and fighting back step by step not only gave her powers (superhero), but also inspires everyone else around her or even just gets them to listen realising the power of something as simple as taking notice. This song isn't isn't essentially about Crohn's, Colitis or I.B.D. This song is about the emotion and feelings that come with it, through the eyes of someone seeing it happen to the person they love most.
You can download this song for free by putting 0 in the box but for this month every dollar we raise all goes to the Crohn's & Colitis Australia Charity (Non-Profit Organisation).
